DETAILS OF DEATH

Constable Moran, stationed at Hobart was on traffic duty near the railway station at Granton. He had just alighted from his car and was signalling to an approaching motorist when he was struck by a motor truck travelling towards Hobart. Constable Moran was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital where he died the following day. Constable Moran had served with the 40th Battalion in WWI.
