DETAILS OF DEATH
Mogalwert was murdered after being sent out by Inspector Edward Hestor to arrest an Aboriginal named Nulgar. Nulgar was wanted for the alleged killing of a young girl. Mogalwert found Nulgar at the Aboriginal Camp but before he could be arrested, Nulgar speared Mogalwert to death.
