DETAILS OF DEATH

On 25 October 1947 Constable McNeil was riding a Police motor cycle along the Pacific Highway returning to Grafton from a patrol to Bushgrove. At Wyatt’s Corner near Ulmarra the cycle collided head-on with another vehicle and the Constable was killed instantly. The Constable was born in 1924 and joined the New South Wales Police Force on 4 August 1941 as a cadet. He was sworn in on 26 March 1945. At the time of his death he was stationed at Grafton.
