Constable Tickle was a member of the Police Tactical Response Group and following a barrage of ill-informed and inaccurate media attacks on the squad he tragically took his own life on 17 December 1990. The Constable was born in 1954 and joined the New South Wales Police Service on 26 June 1978. At the time of his death he was attached to the Tactical Response Group.
