Federal Agent Stephen Hill was appointed to the Australian Federal Police in January 1980. On 13 March 1996 Federal Agent Hill died in a plane crash near Albany, Western Australia. A West Australia Police officer, an Australian Customs Service officer and the plane pilot also died. They were on a combined drug operation.
